The Gourmet Kitchen Retreat
Do you:
– have the desire to eat fresh, organic, and at home?
– want to learn about nutrition and nourishing food?
– hope to enhance your palate, try new foods, and expand your kitchen skills?
– long for a skill level that invites creativity in the kitchen?
– need to cook delicious meals without spending a fortune?
I bring a deep understanding and love for the home kitchen, rooted in a large foodie family where everyone cooked. My brothers and I spent years working in restaurants—across many kitchens, in many roles.
I’ve always loved the kitchen. Fresh ingredients. Wholesome, flavorful food. Preparing meals for family and friends has been a lifelong joy.
Professionally, I’ve cooked for other families and in retreat settings for years. I have an extensive collection of recipes and cookbooks to browse.
Reading cookbooks like novels—journeying through cultures, kitchens, and traditions—has filled many seasons of my life.
This retreat is a three-day intensive experience, pampering you with all the elements of the Contentment Retreat in addition to the kitchen focus.
We’ll begin with the basics—building and expanding your skills, setting goals, and cooking one or more meals together each day.
There will be time to rest, to relax in nature, and to indulge in moments of pampering as desired.
Together, we can explore:
– how to build a functional pantry
– essential spices and herbs
– core recipes that match your tastes
– choosing (and trusting) a new recipe
– organizing your grocery list
– baking (cakes, cookies, maybe even a pie?)
– menu creation
– anything else you’re ready to learn
Ongoing support for developing your own “chef” presence at home can be arranged.
"One quarter of what you eat keeps you alive.
Three quarters of what you eat keeps your doctor alive."
