Fall asleep with nothing but love and forgiveness in your heart. What is meant for you will be there for you tomorrow or the day after. Trust your journey. Rest your soul.

The Contentment Retreat:

This is an offering of three days of facilitated rest, restoration, and peaceful interaction.

Transformation happens organically.

Using my basket full of tools: embodiment, meditation, nature, bodywork, psycho/spiritual tools, listening deeply within, art, and quiet presence we will work with what Stanley Kunitz calls "the Principle of Being - a relentless inquiry about who I am, what I want, and who I want to become."

Day 1

Arrival - settle in, unpack physically and mentally/emotionally, great food, bodywork, outside time (weather permitting), deepening conversation, and whatever else is called for to begin the dive into your own needs, how you want to use your time. A quiet night in your own room.

Day 2

Using as many of the tools in my basket as may be needed, we together explore the experience of stopping, the impact of the pause, the needs that arise, and begin to dream into what might be possible.  There will be plenty of time to talk, share experiences, unload the inner pile of overload, walk the dirt roads, and just sit and look at the clouds out the big windows. You will have time to read (in the hammock?), do a provided art project, daydream, or stretch while I mess about in the kitchen creating aromas to tantalize your tummy.  A bodywork session after a toasty bath with essential oils is an option before bed. A quiet night in your own room, perhaps a bedtime story and a cozy “tuck-in” completes the day.

Day 3

Pulling together all of the threads revealed in the two previous days to harvest the treasures from our time together.   We might send you home with new menus, a short exercise routine, a plan for ongoing bodywork, a to-do list to facilitate ongoing change needed, a list of books to read. Allowing for the deepening of the pause into some illumination as to how to move forward in life.  Compassionately completing and preparing to return to your "world as it is"  with new skills to employ, new perspective, fresh energy.
